What is a Shade Garden?

Do you have a shady yard or a shady area in your yard where you would like to grow an attractive garden? There are many native perennials, trees and shrubs that thrive in areas that receive less than two hours of direct sunlight daily.

The map above shows a selection of native plants that are made for the shade! Visit the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service PLANTS database to view images and learn more about each plant.
