Selecting Appropriate Plant Species for Basin Retrofit Projects
The Lakewood Township Stormwater Basin Retrofit Project had a productive 2023 spring seeding season. Five additional stormwater basin retrofit designs have been implemented throughout the municipality.
Residents, Schools, Municipalities Pilot Jersey-Friendly Yards Certification Program
The Jersey-Friendly Yards Certification Program engages individuals and communities in stewardship actions that help manage stormwater and reduce and prevent non-point source pollution, such as nutrient fertilizers that run off lawns and into our creeks, rivers and bay.
NJ COASTAL Aquaculture Project Funded
On August 12, 2022, the Ocean County Soil Conservation District (OCSCD or District) announced that along with their partners they were awarded funding for a Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) project from the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS or NRCS).
